Karostone, floor tile production differences and application
You can find below the specifications of our “handmade floor tiles” that are produced with newest technologies in our tile production plant for last 5 years. The factory belongs to Etili Seramik in Çanakkale / Çan.
Fineness of the edges
Handmade, patterned floor tiles should be tiled in traditional way with zero gap in between.
After it is tiled, all surfaces has been scoured and polished so, possible elevation differences have been eliminated and required visuality is provided. Therefore during production, edge fineness is extremely important.
Karostone can fulfill this requirement in a perfect way by our special production technique.
In production, for the mixture of upper layer of tiles (6-8 mm), granules which have been used by demand are obtained from natural rocks and do not contain silica. During production this mixture is stirred continuously by special mixers to avoid sedimentation and provide us to get homogenous structure.
Design moulds have been prepared in our company with computer support and all design moulds can be ready for production in 7 days.
After production we are applying special chemical to surface to minimize abrasion and water absorb/stain easily.
Raw material (cement) which is used in production is TS 21 BPÇ 52,5and certified by Turkish Standard Institution (TSE).
Tiles are packed in 9 pieces/box – 96 boxes/pallet if scouring will be done during production. Packaging is with shrink packing which is also suitable for export.
